The Melville Swimming Pool had recent upgrades in 2020-21. The pool now includes a beach type entry, toddler area, spray features, a waterslide, and 6 swim lanes.
The Melville Disc Golf Course is located within the Regional Park. It consists of 18 holes of varying skill levels and all holes have DiscCatcher Pro Targets. Currently there are plans to expand and add another 18 holes in the future.
Melville Regional Park is home to four fully-fenced rubber tennis courts. The courts are accessible with a short walk into the park, or visitors are welcome to bike or drive and utilize the small parking lot to the south of the courts.
Melville’s Golf & Country Club is one of the oldest golf courses in Saskatchewan, dating back to the beginning of the last century. For most of its existence it has had sand greens, but all 18 holes were made into grass greens by 1984. For a relatively short and open course (6063 yards), we are well known for requiring precise shots. Well placed greens, out of bounds and crescent creek meandering through the course make it more difficult than first perceived. Come and give it a try!
As the longest trail network in the world, the Trans Canada Trail connects Canadians and visitors to nature and to one another, from coast to coast to coast, through accessible and inclusive outdoor activities. Through collaboration and partnerships, we build, maintain and steward Canada’s national trail, a unique system of connected urban and rural trails.
The section of Trans Canada Trail that runs through Melville, consists of various trail types from local sidewalks, to grassy wooded trails that go throughout the Regional Park.
The Melville Dam ( located West of town) welcomes electric-motor boats, kayaks, canoes, and fishing from the dock and shore. Fish that can be found are Northern Pike, Perch, and Walleye. (SK Fishing regulations)
Youth Centennial Trout Pond, located north of Highway 10 behind the water treatment plant. Catch & Release only, and adults must be accompanied by a youth and have a current SWF Melville Fish & Game Membership.
There are many other Provincial waterbodies within a 30 - 60 min. drive that host a number of species.
