Nestled within city limits of Melville, Melville Regional Park has been in operations for nearly six decades. We have mature trees and bushes providing private camping. 126 total campsites with lots of overflow. 55 - 30 amp sites of which 22 are pull through. There are lots of tenting areas and fire pits with free wood. Melville Regional Park also features 8 ball diamonds, which play host to slo-pitch, fastball and baseball with players from amongst the age groups 5 to 75. We have hosted many provincial championships and have hosted the Baseball Canada Cup in our facilities. For a relaxing round of golf we offer a beautiful 18 hole grass green course and clubhouse.
Melville Regional Park Authority (MRPA) began in the 60's with humble beginnings and has expanded to what it is today. The MRPA is comprised of a 13 member joint board that operates the Park and Golf Course. Of those 13 members, 10 are appointed by the City of Melville with the remaining 3 members appointed from the Council of our Partner Municipalities (City of Melville, RM of Cana, RM of Stanley).
Our Governance falls under the Saskatchewan Regional Park Act and Regulations (listed below), along with our own Bylaws and Policies. Our Parent organization, The Saskatchewan Regional Park Association along with the Minister of Parks, Culture, and Sport and our Partnering Municipalities have afforded the MRPA (through legislation), funding, grants, technical advice, development of legal documents, etc.
